Fitness & Recovery Classes at Medicine Wheel Wellness
Level 1-2 classes require mild-moderate levels of effort and are designed as a progression from injury rehab, for those who are new to fitness, or for athletes who are looking for a lighter workout to focus on the essentials of alignment, stability, and mobility.
Level 2-3 classes are moderate-high effort and designed for those who have a healthy foundation and are looking for a dynamic workout to enhance fitness, sports performance, and prevention of injury.
TRX Suspension Training
TRX Essentials, level 1-2:
This Friday morning TRX class will incorporate everything with the TRX system. Build full body strength, mobility, cardio and endurance in a conditioning format workout. Suspension training is excellent for assisting in challenging movements, and the difficulty is controlled by each individual.Instructor: Francine Bartlett

This Monday morning TRX class will use classic suspension training techniques but will also incorporate weights such as kettlebells, dumbells, the steel mace, and bodyweight exercises in a fun, action-packed circuit.Instructor: Adam Dowell

Iron & Steel Strength Training
Level 2-3: Iron & Steel Strength Training Class will utilize Unconventional Training Techniques. It is functional strength and conditioning using unique tools such as Kettlebells, Steel Maces, Battleropes, Bodyweight, and Suspension ropes. This class is sure to get your working hard but also has a dynamic mobility warm up and stretching and foam rolling at the end. Specializing in human mechanics of Hinge, Squat, Push, Pull, Rotation, and Anti-rotation.

Knee Rehab & Conditioning
Knee Rehab & Conditioning Class is ideal for those who are recovering from a knee injury or looking to prevent injury and enhance performance by improving form, function, balance, strength and stability. Shoulder & Spine Rehab
This Shoulder and Spine Rehab Class will emphasize rotator cuff and scapular stabilization exercises which can decrease symptoms associated with impingement, instability, biceps tendonitis, as well as postural imbalances. Our shoulder and spine rehab classes are ideal for those recovering from a shoulder, spine or other upper body injuries or for those looking to prevent injury and improve posture, function and stability.Instructor: Amy Harmon

All Levels: Restorative Yoga-Touch Class incorporates holding longer passive poses supported by props such as bolsters, blankets and blocks to stretch, reduce physical and mental tension while restoring breath and clarity. Gentle Flow Yoga class is a less strenuous hour long yoga practice compared to most regular yoga classes. AcroYoga Class is the combination of acrobatics, yoga, and healing arts. This Therapeutic AcroYoga class will teach basic AcroYoga poses, and Therapeutic Flying Techniques. You will benefit from a weightless, inverted and restorative treatment, helping to relax the body and mind. This practice helps to elongate the spine naturally, free the body of tension, improve mindfulness, and create connections with others. Come learn from the ground up. No experience is needed. Level 2-3 Jam Sessions:
This "Jam-session" style partner based Yoga Class helps to build strength, flexibility, balance, and mental focus. It’s a fun way to exercise and create art at the same time. It is also an incredible communication, trust, and teamwork builder. Come learn from the ground up. No experience is needed, but is encouraged for this level 2-3 class. Mat Pilates: Low Back Release
Level 1-2: Our Mat Pilates class is back rehab based with emphasis on stability, flexibility, and strength. Mat work is the fundamental component in your practice. With a focus on finding your neutral pelvis and spine while strengthening your core and surrounding stabilizing muscles. This class is ideal for those recovering from injury looking to progress into full function, and for those who want emphasis on form and function to prevent injury and to remain pain-free.
